Indecision Saturday
Supposed to be a rest day today, but looking at how cold it's supposed to be tomorrow, I'm kind of debating getting my long run out of the way this afternoon. Hmm.
PR's so far: 5K 27:15, 10K 55:25, 21.1K 2:10:53, 42.2K 5:21:27
Upcoming: Toronto Women's 5k in May, STWM Half in October

Indecision Saturday
Quiet day so far!
I've had a really good week and want to start posting here again.
Today will be a short run later this morning, or perhaps in the afternoon if I decide to do it at the gym.
Have a great Saturday, everyone.

Indecision Saturday
Will go for a run shortly, no one is currently training for anything so we have no plans but will probably end up doing around 10k

Re: Indecision Saturday
Beautiful day here.
I decided it was nice enough to venture further away from home for my long run, so I did some scouting of my planned 11K route for the clinic, and then headed further south to Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
It was a slower run because of some odd footing on some of the sidewalks, but the cemetery was perfect as usual.
Funny thing is I had only a vague idea of how far I had gone because my garmin was dead. I didn't even have a watch! Only my phone. I think this made the run more enjoyable!
When I got home I mapped it out, and it was only a bit short of what I really wanted to do.
25.2K. I wanted to do 26-27. Reminder to self to ALWAYS charge garmin the night before a long run - no matter how much juice you THINK it has.

Re: Indecision Saturday
Easy 10K with 10x30s strides. Those five minutes represent the entirety of my speedwork so far this year so I think I'm ready to race next weekend. Meanwhile, this morning's sunshine is set to give way to yet another weekend storm, this time with the promise of a couple inches of rain.
Re: Indecision Saturday
13km in 62 or 63min, kind of easy, + some weights - lighter - 3 x 15 leg press @ 170lbs, 3 x 15 calf raises @ 150 lbs. I would normally do like 185 on my quads alone, but I'm keeping it light as I haven't really done weights too much and now my focus is no longer on destroying my quads (kinda there) but on managing the load 'til Boston. I might cycle in the wall sits again I did for skiing - got to 4-5 min on those and that turned out alright.
Rest week complete, now 5 lbs heavier, back to the grind with an easy 35k planned for tmr!

Hitting the pool shortly, planning for about 2,750.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Re: Indecision Saturday
A little over 14K for me today. I did started at the arboretum near Dow's Lake and went along the canal all the way down to the Ottawa River and back. Overall, the pathway was in really good shape. There are some spots that have ice and you have to watch your step a bit, but it's certainly fine for running.
What a simply GORGEOUS day out there this morning for a run!

Re: Indecision Saturday
Ended up doing 11.5 km, there was a brief stretch with sunshine then the fog rose as we got closer to False Creek. The gals are looking forward to hill and track workouts so I guess I have to figure out a training plan for BMO.

Cold here this morning, but when the sun started shining, it was beautiful! DH has to work early both days this weekend, so very grateful for a running buddy who volunteered to watch C while I ran. 16 km and change for me with a couple of friends - a cut-back week. A few more long ones to go before Around the Bay!

Re: Indecision Saturday
I ditched my INDOOR spin class for a glorious day OUTSIDE on the trails. Drove up to Horseshoe with a friend for some XC skiing. I wore my Garmin, but it turned itself off on my second lap (I think when I fell ) so I don't have accurate stats. I think I skied about 16K in about 2.5 hours.

I covered about 14km this morning. I say "covered" because we walked a fair bit through a few areas with lots of "up" and then a bit more as we poked around, checking out a few new-to-us trails. Fun time, as usual.
