LOVE your post -- total taper madness!!! You will be fine!!

I have no advice about Hopkinton drop-off since I took the bus from Boston....

Re food before the race, they have lots at Athlete's village -- water, Gatorade, bagels, bananas (this is what I remember)....

As for hydration on the course, there are aid stations every 3 km (on BOTH sides of the road), so lots of opportunity to hydrate -- bring what you are comfortable with for hydration, but don't stress about it -- you won't go thirsty. Even the spectators are out with glasses of water for the athletes (and they even had ice packs last year)!!

Go and enjoy -- you will have a BLAST!! :D
2014:
Mar - Around the Bay 30 km - Done
May - Sulphur Spring 100 miler - DNS
Sept - Army HM
Sept/Oct - 50 miler
Oct - Pace Bunny - Toronto Scotia Waterfront
Dec - Reggae Marathon in Jamaica

I think you would be fine with the timing of the drop-off Ken. The way I remember it (it was 5 years ago!) there was no lineup at the buses, they just filled one and it went. Just a short ride too, 5 or 10 minutes.
You have a great time!
next up:

This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day

Too superstitious and too busy to be excited at this point! Plus, knowing that my training has been sub-par, this is going to be a long run rather than a race. That goal of hitting the start line at Boston trained, uninjured and primed remains elusive...

Weather forecast is a little different as of this morning, now up to 15 C with more sun. After the winter conditions we've had here (with more to come) that's going to feel like full summer. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Godspeed, everyone!

I am teaching all day tomorrow, so I won't be able to track anyone on-line. I'll check in during my lunch break if I get a chance. The one (and only) disadvantage to Bell Fibe over ExpressVu is that last year I got the Boston TV stations and could set my PVR. With Fibe my feed is from Buffalo, so no such luck.

Actually, SportsNetOne* is carrying the race at 1PM ET (on tape delay), so I'll PVR that and watch it later.

*In the on-line TV guide it says: "The 2013 Boston Marathon. Thousands of professional runners compete in a lengthy race."

Another cool thing- this year the BAA has an iPhone app which means it will be easier to track when I leave home. :)

I work in the morning only and we have all the Boston stations here so I am SUPER excited to watch the race! It's always one of my fav days of the year :). A close pal, and training partner, is running and she's ready for something fast & special. And the weather will be on her side. I can't wait to follow along!!!

Have a great race, everyone!
We train more joyfully and productively when we focus on the now, rather than on our future race day performance. It's a long road from here to there with many miles to go. We need to run each one. Accept where you are today and simply be thankful for the work you've accomplished. KA

This is going to be a spectacularly unproductive morning of work for me- boston marathon monday always is......

5 mins until the Elite Women go! Quite anxious to see how our local superstar (Jutta Merilainen) makes out.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Me neither. Apparently it is not available in Canada if you look at the list of countries it is available in :(
