That's all I've got. No fancy name.

It was raining and dark when the alarm went off at 5:55. And, the alarm was switched to a.m., so there was no actual radio station playing. The heavy rain is what woke me. So many reasons to not run. But I did, and on dead legs. 5k done.

Walked to work, got a bit wet in the final four blocks as a light mist turned into actual rain. Brought my gear to run home this evening.

Woke up with a raging headache, very strange, and I have no clue as to why. But it was bad enough that I took ibuprofen and went back to bed instead of going for my run. The ibuprofen has reduced things to just a very slight pain above one eye, so planning to run after work tonight. As always, that will depend on how the rest of the day unfolds.

Went for a 10 km run on a misty morning. Kids are back to school today, so I ran earlier... not used to being out before sunrise.

Tempo Tuesday.

11K with 8+K@ tempo. PE was a bit high for the pace this morning! A bit sluggish after the long weekend I guess.

Slogged out 10km at lunch. Legs felt dead, not sure why. Could be the heat - it is hot and humid outside! Good to get it done :)

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

10km done. It felt good mentally, though not my strongest run physically (I'm still way out of shape due to a lack of consistency). Beautiful evening, golden sunset, made it all worthwhile. :)
