Rest day for me.
Must be marathon week- I've started having the mystery pains in my legs and dreams about missing the start of my race.

Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.
Re: Wednesday...
First run in new shoes and first time as a Saucony wearer. Verdict is that they are good. Super squishy in the forefoot which is usually what I look for. Just a quick 20 minutes.

My plan is to run 9K, but if there are thunderstorms, I'm not sure how things will play out! I guess I could go to the gym and run on the TM.

Re: Wednesday...
Morning! A sticky one last night - about 7K with the group. Most were not up to a tempo pace run last night, but there were a few brave souls. Tonight begins speedwork, but with the heat, and possibly rain, I think we'll just learn about strides and squeeze in a bunch of those on an easy run.

I did a half hour on the elliptical this morning, followed by upper body weights and some abs/hip work, with the plan of running this evening. Fingers crossed that at most we get a little rain rather than torrential downpours and thunderstorms.

The Saucony Guides are one of my "go to" shoes. Nice cushioning for sure.

Looking forward to tonight's run -- 5 km w/u, 7 km at RP, and 3 km cooldown -- will be heading down to the RR for the faster bit to make sure that there will no slacking -- will hook up with some faster friends that are recovering from races (it's the only way I get to run with them -- i.e. keep up)

Re: Wednesday...
More intervals today, 15 sets of 2:1. I ended up about 1.5 km farther from home than I should have, so I had an extended "cool down" at the end. It was not really cool though, because we are having another hot day here in paradise.

really wanted to get up this morning for my run, but I didn't get a lot of sleep last nite, so of course when it was time to get up I was just too tired... Looks like today will be a not wanted rest day
