RunDiva told me about this forum and she has impeccable taste regarding running people so I registered. I am a retired teacher who started running two yrs ago at age 60. 5 half-marathons, a 25 km run, a 30 km run and two marathons later I am still enthusiastic despite the heat this summer. so hi y'all!

Thanks for the warm welcome. The name is because of my running pace! Slow and steady is the order of the day. I try to mostly run in my "comfort" zone! When I took my first half-marathon clinic I trained much too fast and hard, thus developing the whole gamut of overtraining injuries. So I learned the hard way to slow down and actually enjoy this sport.

Welcome Ken.....

I'm thrillled to see you here...if for no other reason than I'm not the oldest person on the board any longer

Seriously though...your accomplishments are pretty inspiring!
