Saturday, anyone??
Saturday, anyone??
9K on the trails this morning. Legs dead so it was pretty slow. Nice gentle rain to cool things on the run. Anyone else have something to report?

19k, lovely day today but I was rather hung over so run was really tough - especially the getting off the couch to get out there part.

17.9K. Had planned to run 16, but I mis-judged the distance of the route and it ended up being a bit long.

8.5km on road and trail for me.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

27k. Ran into a couple of my posse from the RR and did a few k with them! That was nice

Banff Sprint Tri today - coldest swim of my life (13C - they actually shortened the Olympic distance swim to 750m because the water was so cold!), followed by a hilly but fun bike, and an uneventful and enjoyable run. 1:47 in the end. Great to meet runJrun for the first time, and good (as always) to catch up with Turd.

I did about 6K on the trails. Also got stung by a wasp again, at almost the exact same part of the Stony Swamp trail off Hunt Club. I'm thinking they have a nest in the ground near this one part in the trail. Spent 5.5 KM's running on a tingly leg, LOL.

Two hikes today--mini one in the morning (Whyte Lake), with one of the teens I've been working with this summer and then a late afternoon loop of Goldie Lake, De Pencier bluffs, and Mystery Lake. It was a gorgeous day for both, and I am sleepy now, post pizza! :)
Roughly 14km between the two hikes.
The view at De Pencier:

It was a good day.
Swim was cold but it was over quick. The shortening of the Olympic was good but it meant mixing a lot of racers of different speeds on the bike course, I saw some really dangerous passes.
I just missed my two sub-goals (average 30 kmh on the bike and riding a 1 minute kilometer) but I made my time goal and had a lot of fun.
