Monday, Monday....

Postby FishHog » Mon Oct 20, 2014 9:31 am

Well I haven't started a thread in years around here. Just been too damn busy lately, but I've still be swimming, biking and running, although at a little less than my normal volumes. Hope things are starting to slow down and I can pick it up a little.

So out for a nice run yesterday, right up until a passing car decided I made a good target and threw a bottle of water at me. Hit me in the back, luckily glancing off and then hit a telephone pole bursting open and giving me a shower. Scared the **** out of me, not to mention stung a bit.

What the hell is wrong with people? By the time I got my bearings, it was too late to get the plate. But I have that car fixed in my brain and will be keeping a close eye out for it from now on. If I had anything to report, I would have called the cops. But if I get a plate down the road I will call it in.

Amazing how much that adrenaline rush took out of me for the next few km until I got back in the grove. Man I was mad. Just don't get it, but its probably a good thing I had no way to chase them down.

FFS, what's wrong with people! Glad you're OK (and posting again), FH.

I ran 5 miles/8K on the TM at lunch. Just set the thing to 6mph and started running. It felt pretty good!

8K for me in the drizzle. I'm loving the temps and the fact that overheating is a very distant concern, LOL.

Wow, FishHog! That was a nasty thing that creep did to you! I'd be boiling mad, too!

5k and change for me. I'm enjoying the cooler weather, too, but I'm sorry to see the forecast for the next week--heavy rain every day. Ugh, how dreary!

Easy 9K on trails with 8x30s strides. Getting up to 23 degrees this late in the year is a pleasant surprise, especially with most of the leaves already on the ground.
