I'm just expressing my thanks to our excellent mods for keeping things orderly in our Nation. Not all are worthy to be apart of our Nation

I'm with TCC on this. Not just for any one specific...incident. Generally we play nice, and you guys let us be us. But when you have stepped in it has always been very fair. A heartfelt THANKS from me.

Should this be included in the Special Moments RM In History Thread ? considering it may be the first time ever of this type of event ...

Don't count your chickens before they've hatched. Some of you may wish to refresh your memory of the rules and systems in place here.
Also, please try to remember the rules, regardless of the situation, and keep this thread respectful and play nice.
Thanks.

We'll, we're actually counting our chickens, the green one's that is. 2 eggs, more coming. Time to update the birds and the bees thread...

As a matter of fact Nick I am running today. After 5 weeks of zero running I finally get to try it again...a big 3km on the books. I think that is worth celebrating.
As a mod I want to hijack this thread and talk about running, because I'm tired of talking about non-related stuff.

Re: Thanks Mods
I'm going to be the voice of dissent here. (I don't even know if that's the right word.)
I understand the 3 strikes and you're out rule. I was personally not reading the majority of posts by the banned user. There are a few folks on here that I don't read - just due to writing style and personalities....
Anyway, in the final thread, since I did read it, and I hadn't read a lot of the other ones, I guess I just didn't have the same perspective that everyone else did, since it didn't seem all that bad. It really seemed like "we" (the long time maniacs) had our claws out ready to fight right away.
I guess what irked me was in the final thread, in the final post, there was some harsh words said to the banned user that wouldn't have been tolerated if it had come the other way. Not only that, there was an invitation to the banned user to "Say what you want to me. I'm dying to hear it, in fact." .....and then the thread was locked.
I read that as a "let's fight about it......oh, wait, I win, I locked the thread."
Just my $0.02. Sorry if it's unpopular.

I was no fan of his, but this thread is just rubbing his face in it. He may be banned but still has access.
I would be happier if it were deleted entirely.

Re: Thanks Mods
I would like to say, as a mod, if you have any questions or concerns about what we do, take it up with us privately. We don't air publicly what we've said to any offending posters, and I mean ANY. Just because you don't see something doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Just because you see SOMETHING, also doesn't mean it's happened.
Also, I'd like to say that there are a lot of incorrect assumptions of a ban going on here. Nobody has been banned. At least not the person you're assuming has been.

Whatever the facts really are I find this thread in bad taste.
He is still a human being and deserves a certain measure of respect
(regardless of whether he showed any or not, I wouldn't know, but am anticipating any replies to that effect).

Well, I didn't lock the thread, if that helps any.
As for the rest... like RA said, we can discuss it privately if you have concerns. I'd be happy to tell you the rest of the story.

I think it helps. It just looked like you were saying one thing and then the thread was locked, so looked like you were doing something different.
Like "talk to me" then "discussion closed".
All perception I guess.
