RunningMania? There's an App for that
Further the the occasional cryptic thread this week, we've been testing an iPhone/iPad and Android app for RM.
The app is called Tapatalk and it provides direct access to the forums, private messages, userlists, who's online...
Download and install it in the usual way. There's a free version which doesn't allow you to post (only to read posts) and a pay version ($2.99) which allows you to post. If you're bold go ahead and spend the three bucks, otherwise test out the free app first.
There is a Blackberry app but it's beta and buggy. If they put out a release version, we'll install that too.
Go to "search" and search for RunningMania, you should find it quickly. You should only need to log in once, RM will stay in your accounts.
I don't know what else to say except thanks to the admins for installing it and to the maniacs we've called on to help test it out. Questions or comments?

Just want to add that the blackberry beta is available, but it really doesn't work very well. The support forum says that it works on some models better than others. You can try it, but I didn't have good luck with it and neither did Lazagna.

How do I find it to try it out?

Thank you!
I was wondering about this because there was a message about testing the BB version but not about this-- I would have jumped in.
It works great. Might even drop the three bucks...

Re: RunningMania? There's an App for that
I just installed it on my blackberry curve 8520 on the old operating system 4.6.1 and it works like a charm.
I just wish you could filter by latest updates
EDIT: I take that back, the main page is the latest updates as I just saw my update!

Thanks - we didn't need anymore testers for the iPhone app because it works like a charm - it was the blackberry app causing problems.

Go for it La, looks good to me!
And you don't have to pay for the posting option?

the blackberry one is currently free because it's beta and buggy. Once they sort it out they'll start charging.

It sounds completely different from the iPhone/iPad app.
The graphics on the iPhone app are pretty sweet - the avatars are all there, all the photos in posts are small but are clickable links, its actually quite well designed.
I'll post some more screenshots of the iPhone version tonight.
Re: RunningMania? There's an App for that
I've played with it a bit since Monday night (when we installed it on my iPhone after the naked pagan rituals) and I like it!
Thanks mods!

I chose the right version, but perhaps it's because I'm on 5.0

I had installed it earlier in the week and found it a great reader, but didn't have access to the membership section. I didn't realize I couldn't see the sticky section until Lorne mentioned it. I just tried to post and was unable to and I have the same Curve as Lorne. I'm going to reinstall the app and try the version that Lorne picked. *crossing fingers*
If it doesn't work, it's still better to catch up on RM on this than the browser.

Nope. Still won't let me post. Keeps telling me to "log in" even though I keep logging in. Oh well, they are still working on it.

This is one of the problems I had. It would sometimes recognize that I was logged in, sometimes not. I was only able to successfully post once, and only able to see the NRR once.

They = the good people at Tapatalk (not the admins). We can't do much until it comes out of beta.
