Due to injuries earlier in the year, my racing season didn't start until May and I only raced until September, so my total this year is 6. That's the same as last year, but this year they were much closer together.

1 15k
2 Sprint Tri
1 Sprint duathlon (should have been a Sprint tri but swim cancelled)
1 DNF Oly Tri (my first ever DNF)
1 Int'l duathlon (should have been an Olympic tri but swim cancelled)

Next year my total will be in the same general ball park but with some bigger challenges.
María

2008
Burlington Chilly 1/2 - Done
ATB 30k - Done
Mississauga 1/2 - Done
C3 Caledon Sprint Tri - Done
Guelph Lake I Sprint Tri - Done

Um, I think I did too many. With Florida racing season in the winter and then coming back to Winnipeg in Sept for a few more..I did 19 in Florida, 6 in Winnipeg and 1 in Vegas..This included only 2 marathons and 3 1/2s, 10 miler and the rest 5 and 10ks. Now I am eating M&Ms I bought in Vegas, moving boxes (to my new condo) for strengthening excersises and once I am all moved in I plan on putting my feet up and drinking wine...and then roll out the season on Jan 1 with the resolution run.
9 Marathons/6 Boston Qualifiers
PR 3:36
Next Major Race:Chicago Marathon 2010

Great thread! Not sure how I missed it...I haven't been hanging out in the training section much, I guess.

In 2007, I did:

1 x 5km (Nordion/NCM 5K, paced a friend as a warm-up for the 10K...)
2 x 10km (Nordion/NCM 10K, Xerox 10K)
3 x 21.1km (Hypothermic, Run for Reach, Gloucester Half)
2 x 42.2km (Forest City, PEC)
1 x Sprint tri (Smith Falls)

So, 9 in total. I still think my favourite 'race' was running with my husband for the second half of his first full mary (NCM.)

It was a quite a year!

1 Full+ marathon (Vegas, approx. 28.8 miles)
1 Full Marathon (the usual 26.2 variety)
4 Half Marathons
2 10 km
1 7 km
3 5 km
1 Relay Event

I'd like to do about the same amount of racing in 2008.
