I didn't post earlier? My weight has been bouncing around between 143 and 146 the last few weeks. I am weighing myself on the wii. This morning it is at 140.4. Yay! I sure that's a reflection of not eating much yesterday and once I eat today it will go up, but still.

Start weight - 186.5
10% Goal - 167.5
Ultimate Goal - 145

07 Jan 09 - 186.5
14 Jan 09 - 184.6
21 Jan 09 - 180.8

 I see you! I see you, 170's, you are hiding just around the corner....I'm comin' to get you!

Okay..so this was a good week numbers wise, despite my lack of water intake and my Sunday night wine debauchery (shared 3 bottles with Scotty).

Now that I've started Tri training in earnest...and making more effort to drink during the day (water, not wine) and make better food choices, and judge my level of hunger...I'm hoping things will continue on this trend.

I have been pretty diligent with staying on points the last two weeks.

Weigh in Jan 6th - 149 on WW scale
Last night - 144.4 on my scale
This am - 143 on my scale

So no matter which way I look at it I am moving in the right direction. My goal is to stay on points at least until my next WW weigh in which looks like it won't be till the second week of Feb. Perhaps I won't have to pay

That is the total points for the day. There are no ranges anymore. Instead you have 35 extra FLEX points per week that you can use at your discretion.

You must eat your daily target...then if you go over, you use activity points earned, then flex points respectively.

Also the goal is to build up to earning 28 activity points per week.

Swimming makes you REALLY hungry so it may be tough to see any weight loss result from this. It's great overall exercise but the calories burned tend to be negated by the fact that you are starving when you get out of the pool.

189.6 lbs this morning. I have had a bad week being over-points a few days, but I have been drinking insane amounts of water and keeping very active at the same time, so there is a bit of balance. I still have about 48 hours until WW weigh-in though...

Actually it is not a bad week. So you didn't have a big loss. But you didn't go up. Remember, you were in El Paso, trying to make good food choices despite the circumstances. I think you do tend to underestimate your points eaten...and that could be a factor. Plus the fish bowl of margaritas didn't help either.

Never mind the fact that flying will dehydrate a person...and really mess with weight/water retention.

When you came home you were a couple lbs up...so the fact that you managed to undo that from Sat to Tues is great.

Next weigh in will be better.

But then, I said all this before...and you didn't listen to me then...

156 lbs not too bad considering I was up to about 162 early November and think I put on a couple lbs over Christmas which seem to have come back off.
Goal is 145..so 11lbs to go.

154..moving in the right direction...but slowly...course should really stay away from that pizza and beer!

My coach likes to remind us that a lot of the time we mistake thirst for hunger, and this is even more evident when swimming. You don't necessarily feel thirsty when you swim, because you are wet and cool. Try and drink extra after you swim before thinking about eating.
