Timex Rocks!

Postby Gear Boy » Fri Jun 19, 2009 1:23 pm

I got myself a nice little, sleek Timex Ironman watch a little over two years ago, but last summer the watch strap began cracking. So I sent it off to Timex to get a replacement strap the middle of May.

A couple days ago my "repaired" watch showed up. It looks like they replaced it with a practically brand new watch. In the end I have a new watch for $18 instead of another $60 that I would have had to pay in store. Very nice!

Cool, I have a crack in one of my Timex bands, what address did you send it too?

I would like to know too! I have one that I have had for a long time but the strap is broken. It isn't one that can be replaced at a watch repair.

On another nice note, I sent my HRM to Polar for a new strap and they polished it up so it looked like new. :)

Thanks Gear Boy!

Really? With my Timex the plastic seal thingy came off the face. That would be sweet if they'd fix it.

They did the same for me. It think it worked out to $19.20 plus $2.00 to send the watch to them with a small bubble envelope. I had to cut the strap off to fit the envelope through their little plastic slot otherwise it would have cost another $8.00 to mail. I think they gave me a new watch.

I don't have the address anymore. I just called the Timex 1-800 number and got the address from them. Maybe Gearboy still has it. I did give the address to Lonerunner so maybe she'll chime in here.

I've heard others who have had this same experience. Send in your broken watch and they "repair" it.

Seriously?? My Timex Ironman watch strap came off last summer, and I haven't gotten around to replacing it. I miss my digital watch :(

You have to include your cheque which I think is $18.00 plus your local tax. Mine was 13% for HST.

Thanks for chiming in L!

That's awesome! I love my Timex Ironman too.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've been camping.

Here's the link to download the repair form for Canada.
