I just had to. again!

Postby jacob42.2 » Wed Aug 17, 2005 10:56 am

>>See Below<<

Today I was sitting in my room again, thinking about how great my leg felt...and said "That's it, I'm going for a run" I just couldn't take it anymore. So I threw on my watch, shorts, singlet and shoes, and headed out the front door, to do my planned 5k with some kick drills at the end. Man it felt great. I hovered around my marathon pace the entire time and came home in 19:47. I clearly saw what almost 2 weeks of doing nothing does to the lungs, but I'm just happy that I got that run in, and look forward to the remainder of my runs. YIPPIE!! I'M BACK BABY..I'M BACK! :D :D :D

PS-I feel uttlerly amazing right now.

While I'm happy to be running again, and I'll be heading out for an evening slow run tonight, I don't think I'll be participating on the 3rd. But we'll see.

I wish I could stick to a simple training plan. Failing that, just a plan.
But I always fall back to the old ways. No training & show up on race day to see how much I can suffer for just a t-shirt
