Re: Ladies - Looking for bra reviews...maybe time to change...

I'm a fan of the Shock Absorber too. And a fan of the sales at the Bay! ;) But seriously, the SA gives a lot of support. I would hate to run without it.

Re: Treadmills!

Just went out and bought a Pacemaster Gold VR thanks to this thread. lol. If the pacemaster is a RM favorite, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Can't wait until it gets here next week! :) I miss my Pacemaster TM, almost as much as I miss my mom and monster cat. Aw. This is going to be some t...

Livestrong Treadmill

I'm in the market for a treadmill, and I'm curious about the Livestrong Treadmill. Does anyone have one of these, or know if they might be any good? They seem to have good reviews. I'm also looking at the Pacemaster and I'm curious how this treadmill compares. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5...

Garmin 310xt & the ANT agent

Hey folks....does anyone with a 310xt occasionally run into problems uploading data? I've just reset today's run (so it should be ready to upload) and the ANT agent is saying there is no new data. My training log on RunningAhead is telling me the same thing ... no new data. I can see the run in the ...

Re: Socks for the trail

I wear defeet socks for road and trail. If I'm expecting a lot of water/mud I will wear wool socks (still defeet). I saw some super-thin wool defeet anklet socks at MEC the other day. They looked awesome... I don't know why I didn't pick up a pair! I"m putting in a MEC order tonight for a blad...

Socks for the trail

Anyone have any favourites? I came home from the trails this morning to burst a blister that hissed at me. The other one was less vocal and just spewed fluid on my calf. LOL. :? Now, I'm not sure if it was the new shoes, the way I tied the new shoes, or the socks. But in the meantime, I'm wondering ...

Oh - and the Dr. said to stop cleaning my ears with Q-tips. lol. He said the only thing that goes in your ear is your elbow!! lol. Did anyone know that? I thought I was doing a good thing with the 'ol Q-tips. Oops. Ok. That's probably enough of blue_cup's medical experiences. I'll stop here. :shifty:

Re: chest pain. meh.

Ok - so I went. Everything seems good, but he wanted me to go for a battery of tests just to be sure. So I've got blood work, and EKG, and a chest x-ray planned for tomorrow. I know it's all precautionary and better safe than sorry but I cant help feeling like ... meh. Oh well. Thanks for all...

Chest pain - and especially chest pain during exercise - is a bad thing and a big deal. Is there a walk-in clinic you can go to?

There is, but I feel fine right now, honest!

chest pain. meh.

I know you'll all tell me to go see a Dr. But because that will probably take a while, just for peace of mind .... can chest pain during exercise be an alright-type-of-no-biggie thing? I just ran 2km down to bootcamp. The room was packed with ladies and we were doing our thing, which involved lots o...

Re: Who's registering for Melissa's this year

The first year I did it I bought my bib from someone in August and then changed my name with the Running Room. I think they have a date set aside to change your name officially. I have seen people selling their bibs on the day of the race as well, just means you would run under someone elses name. ...

Geeeez, I might have (maybe) tried the full if I had thought the odds were better. I didn't get in. I'm a bit bummed, but I'll try again next year.

In the meantime .... I have some destination race shopping to do. ;)

Congrats to everyone who got in! Happy training!!! :D

What's your favourite martini? I want to make one later on tonight and I need some suggestions. :)

ETA: I have creme de cacao, triple sec, and amaretto in the cupboard but it is old, old, old. Like three - four years old. Think it's still good? They've been opened.

Do you think you could freeze this dough? You could roll it out into individual circles and then brush a sheet of aluminum foil with oil to place the dough on top of. Then sprinkle flour on the top of that dough and place another sheet of aluminum foil on top. Then repeat! Just wrap the pile with s...
