Done on a gorgeous trail behind my sister's place in Oakville. Given I'm on holiday, I am bumping myself up to my ambitious goal - 150k

Re: July Mileage Challenge!
This is a great way for me to keep true to my resolve to get back to true training and to not get waylaid by other things. I don't know whether to be ambitious (150) or realistic (100). I think I'll split the difference. Mileage Goals - Run (in km) dale_nesbitt: 400 (or more than Kristen :P ) erinmc...

There is a small down intro here, sorry. This winter I fell into a hole of depression. As I have mentioned in my "About me' thing, I have suffered chronic depression for years, but have successfully self treated myself through running for the past 3 years. Unfortunately this past winter and spr...

Poor Strider puppy. I always wondered why the expression is "fixed" - shouldn't it really be "broken". Today is the test day for my planned modified run commute. I'm getting off the train at Dorval and running to Beaconsfield. This will force me to run at the time I like least, a...

Wishing wings on all racer's feet today. I so wish I was with the gang downtown today, but with a show this afternoon I didn't dare risk it. I ran a solidarity 1/2 M on the treadmill though. Now off to lunch with DS and then show - another full house today! Agghh wrong thread - thought this was the ...

Dropped the car off at the garage this morning, did the 2.5 run home and then back again to pick it up this afternoon. Have been kissing the ground, friends, all in general a wee bit today as yesterday my brakes failed on the Decarie expressway. The only thing that ended up needing fixing was the br...

Re: What makes you a happy runner?
When all is said and done, just being able to run when I want to run with the focus that I want to have, makes me happy. When my knee was not cooperating in the Spring and I couldn't run, I was so down - I was really hoping to run a sub 2h 1/2 for NCM - human nature I guess, you want what you can't ...

Happy Birthday RA. Back on track again, although I have confirmed to myself that I am a true weather wimp. These bones are feeling too darn old to run in the dark and the cool, let alone cold. Until I deal with my Polar issues I'm running by time - I hour on the inside track done tonight. Feels good.

I've never been to Germany - I hope to some day. My son's girlfriend's parents are from Germany and all her relatives are there. Maybe a wedding in Germany someday... Enjoy Berlin. Off to the Gym for another 10k. This will be my third run this week. I love being back in a more regular schedule. Hope...

And I thought that I would beat all to the Friday thread! This is why I love running. It was opening night tonight. Getting ready to go out for another 1 hour run. I find it alot easier to run by time rather than distance as I ease
back into a regular schedule. It's such a luxury being off from work and being able to run at whatever time I wish. Not
looking forward to going back next week.
