Try MEC. I was able to get Moving Comfort ones in that size range.
My go to brand is Shock Absorber - I used to get them at The Bay, not sure if they still carry them.

Re: Lower back pain
Mine is due to my pelvis being off. Tight hip flexors is a part of it. I found a good physio who does ART and it has helped a lot.

Re: Iron nun 86
My FIL is 81 and is more active than my husband.
He rides his bike all over the city (he has worn out a few bikes). He will ride 30km round trip to his brother's house for coffee.
I want to be like him when I grow up

Re: Advice, tips - glutes
Unless the fit is waaaayyy off (which is unlikely), it's far more probable you just need to get used to the rotated/forward position of a road bike vs a hybrid. I had hamstring issues going from a Specialized road bike to a Trek road bike - both the same size, just one did not work for me. The Trek...

Sorry, no help here. The only thing that I have use a pressure cooker for is to heat military field rations. I have always had a healthy fear/respect of pressure cookers.
Good luck!

Interesting.
I'm in Winnipeg and did my FORCE test in May, so I'm good

Re: Small Town Tuesday
Got VO2Max tested as part of a study for the CF FORCE Test. Running with that mask wasn't particularly pleasant but I did alright I guess; 45 ml/kg/min. The are still doing studies for the FORCE test? When I did mine in may, they were explain the new incentive categories. I thought that all the tes...

How does a person know if they are a geek or not? 10k part trail, part pathways with a very handsome guy! (I think he's handsome). A geek is completely obsessed with one or more subjects, and can speak fluently on it for hours, sounding like a walking encyclopedia of geeky facts. https://www.daysof...

Re: Muggy Monday
Gross muggy here. Only 23°C so far here, but the humidex is 30°C.
It is supposed to go up to 26°C here today and the sun is starting to come out, so I fully expect melting when I leave work in a couple of hours.
Might go swim tonight.

Nice!

I manage perfectly well with a Speedo. Although it may not support you while walking around or standing on deck, you don't really need "support" while your're swimming! That's true. I find for me it's an ego issue. If I'm self conscious (even more than just being in a suit would make me) ...

On a related note, I offered to (legally) transfer my half marathon bib to a friend since I won't be able to run. He said I was being "nazi-like" by insisting on a proper transfer instead of just letting him have my bib. I am selling my bib for the half marathon in Winnipeg this we...
