Re: New Forum Questions and Comments

yeah that annoyed me. It wouldn't let me leave the drop-down blank, but didn't give an "other" option. So I put "I don't know" in the drop-down and then put runningmania.com in the box. The rest wasn't bad, once you got past the first page! That's what I did too Holly. Yep...the rest went well. I d...

Andy,

If it's going to be as nice as they say it is I'd try and head for the beach. Are you going to have a car? There are some great beaches not far away, but you will need to drive.
Victoria Beach, Winnipeg Beach, Falcon Lake, Bird's Hill Park are just a few.

 But I haven't been able to train for a "hot one". I'll believe it when I feel it. Any forecast we've had for temperatures above 20C more than a few days out have generally not come true... But any forecast we've had for rain and/or thundeshowers has been bang on, and always seems to s...

Didn't they give us about 1/3 of the bridge last year? It was tight for traffic, but that's not my problem.... Hope they do the same this year. Looks good for not having pesky mosquitoes or worms through the Crescent Park and Wildwood part, of course that could change as quick as the weat...

I'm just wondering what the race organizers are going to do with the construction on St. Vital Bridge this year (again). This time they are working on the East bound lanes....I hope they're not going to make us all run over the bridge Westbound on the tiny little sidewalk-that could get really, real...

Get there early, (I'm going to be there about 6:00) and don't expect to park in the University grounds. I'm parking at the Running Room on Pembina and walking over. It's about a 10-15 minute walk, just enough to warm up the muscles. Have fun with your first 1/2. This was my first 1/2 way back in 198...

Re: Wacky Wednesday

Today is going to be Wacky. I was scheduled to go to the St Boniface Hospital for 8:30 AM for surgery to begin at 10:30. They called me yesterday afternoon at 3ish, and told me to be there for 7:00 AM as my surgery is now at 9:00 AM. I will be staying overnight. Have packed the Mickey Mouse PJ's. I...

I'm glad the weather is going to be much better than last year. I'm in for this year and hoping to wear shorts. My avatar is actually from last years race-it was pretty cold.
