I just started training for my first full marathon that will hopefully be in May, 2010. I have the Nike + and I'm using one of the training programs from the Nike+ site.
Good luck.

Re: Where's your running log?
I use the Nike+ system so I upload my runs to Nike+ (Nikeplus.com). I also sync the Nike+ results to the Dailymile (Dailymile.com) and Runner+ (runnerplus.com).

Re: Kids and Running
My daughter will run her second 1K this Sunday (she ran her first on Canada Day). At this point, she's all about the medal at the end . I'm hoping she takes an interest. I used to do cross country in school and then stopped running until I was 43.

Re: Surprise PB at Angus Glen half
Congratulations!! I too have a similar story. Ran a PB of 1:59:32 at Scotiabank and said I would run Angus Glen with no pressure, ended up finishing 1:58:50, so improved as well. Was a great day for running!

Re: Running in the Dark?
My mid week runs are at night so always in the dark in the winter. I try to stick to streets with lights on them and just really pay attention to my footing, especially when the snow and ice comes.

Re: How serious are you about running?
What kind of a runner are you? recreational and the races keep me motivated. How long have you been running? Ran in school (I'm 45 now), and started again last July (2008), so really just over 1 year. Why did you get started? Started running again after my friend ran in the Boston Marathon, (thought...

Re: Running after giving blood (and wonky bp)?
I run after donating blood and have never had a problem, although you should run very slow as you may feel a little sluggish. It would really depend on how you feel and how you generally are after blood donations. I've been donating for a really long time and not sure if that makes a difference or n...

Congrats. My goal for my first 1/2 was to "finish" so the fact that you set a goal and came so close is impressive!

Re: Toronto Scotia 4 hour pace report: Awesome Weekend
It's so great to do that. I had someone pacing me for my race but constantly kept my eye on the 2:00 half pacers and the 4:00 full pacers (at least until they split off). So even though someone is not running with a pacer, you definitely help them as well!! Thanks for that.

Thanks everyone. I'm running Angus Glen on November 1 but won't be putting any time goal on that one.

Re: Finally broke the 2 hour barrier! (with pictures)
I am VERY certain it will not be easy to stay here...I made it with only 49 seconds to spare!!! I am running Angus on Nov.1 and that course is more hilly, and typically cold and windy...So I will be working hard over the next month to try for a second sub-2! I broke 2:00 at Scotiabank and I'm also ...
