I ran the Scotiabank Half yesterday with a friend who paced me. He did a great job at keeping me on pace, on form and motivated. We were pacing to a 1:59:59 finish so not a lot of room for error. I have custom orthotics as well. I ran my first race without orthotics and got an achilles bursa injury. Orthotics in...no injury since.

I really wanted to do this one or the 1/2 coming up in September but this weekend I have a wedding and the 1/2 in September is too close to the Scotiabank 1/2 that I signed up for. Maybe next year. I was at the island on Sunday and it should be a great event!

Congrats!! I was there yesterday watching a friend compete in the Sprint Triathlon, great event. I think the jumping off the boat freaked a lot of people out at first :)
