jamix; even as a beginner I'd still recommend you ride at a little higher intensity for at least one more ride a week. If you're riding three times, then one easy, one at ~85% MaxHr and one intervals set. Make the intervals shorter than 5min; try instead for 1min x 3 on 1min rest and build every sec...
