I hope you enjoy it here! :D

Hi Carrie - yes I am. I'm into thoroughbred horses as well as running and Danzig is (or was) a very famous stallion (son of Northern Dancer) that's why I like the name danziggirl.

I figured you were into horses in some way. My mum (at 66 y/o) still competes in equestrian sports, but she has quarter horses. I personally don't ride at all.

Hi Carrie
Your mum must be amazing! I love horses - I can ride but just not obviously at that kind of level. I am more into the pedigree of thoroughbred horses.

Danzigirl, counting you, there are at least 3 in the 50 something age group (I didn't re-read all the posts to count). So we all get awards!

Has anyone here (men or women) ever lied about their age once they reached the age of (say) 30? If yes, did you lie to make it sound like you were younger or older?

For the record, I have never lied about my age. My weight, now that's a different story...

I haven't ever lied about my age but after I turned 50 or so (I'm 57 now) I seemed to become a lot more conscious of my age and more reluctant to say how old I am. I'm not sure why that is really.

I hope I have lots more birthdays! And I can put up with the aches and pains of aging -- you have to be alive to feel them!

Jacqui, I think for us women, it was easy to say "forty-something"..... but saying "fifty-something" just sounds older.... hence, there is more reluctance to saying it.

We can deny silently all we want, but when the number is spoken aloud, it really bites!

I always feel younger than I actually am until I look in the mirror! (no lies from this gal either.... if you have to lie, why bother!)

I'm 47....and this is my first post in the Masters thread, as I still don't get this internet thing....I might be lying about something, just can't remember what.....I'm just happy to know who I am (I think), but I do want to know what the H*** happened to my hair

Bumping this thread...oh heck...just for the fun of it.
Actually what inspired me was I was curious about when robinandamelida joined RM and saw her post way back when she joined...at age 44.

And so here I am at age 60. Still a member of RM...still running...but after a year of not much running just getting back into it with a Big Goal :D :D
Ummm....no...I'm not doing Iron Man

So I'm curious...just how old is everyone...for the oldster RM members...refresh my memory. For the newer ones...tell me! :D :D
