I just heard this on the news, can anyone verify that for me. If so- WOW, congrats (even if not then WOW congrats for finishing Boston).
Anyone know anything about this guy?

I guess that Waterloo folk are into the newest math....2:21 placing 91 spots lower than 2:22 and 26m385y equalling 40K. They also had the men's winner clocked at 2:42. On the other hand, they did at least report on the race.

I thought there were a few errors in that during my first read through!

I noticed that too. Does it frighten anyone else that Waterloo is considered one of Canada's "brightest" communities

Perhaps, they need a new editor ... at least one that is a bit more literate ..
They did, however, in the following paragraph, had it right ...
Merga wilted in the Beijing heat and finished fourth after getting passed in the last half-kilometre. But in Boston he pulled away right before Heartbreak Hill and won in two hours eight minutes 42 seconds - almost a full minute ahead of Kenya's Daniel Rono and American Ryan Hall.

And Jutta Merilainen from Batawa just north of Trenton was 26th in the Women's with a time of 2:49:51. She was the 2nd place finisher and top woman at the PEC Marathon last year with a time of 2:47:51. We could actually see her in the video running with the elite group for awhile at the start of the race! That is exciting!
I remember when she first moved here and she was looking for a group to run with. She met up with us at the gym and after about 50 m we knew that she was TOTALLY out of our league! And she has gotten much faster since then. All I can say is, she is amazing!
