Team In Training is now recruiting for it's Fall Season

Postby Serina » Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:29 am

Team In Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk a full or half marathon. Since 1988, more than 380,000 participants have helped raise more than $900 million for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.

We have an information meeting on May 7th at the Victory Cafe, 581 Markham St., Toronto 5:30 p.m. RSVP at 416-585-2873 ext. 213.

We are recruiting for the Maui Marathon & Half Marathon, Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon and the NIKE Women's Marathon in San Francisco.

Great program. Did my first Marathon (San Diego Rock N Roll) with TnT. Good luck.

Unfortunately, we do not have any other training locations in Ontario, but stayed tuned... they are coming!

We will be bringing a team to the Ottawa Marathon - drop by our tent and say hi if you'll be there as well...

Oh, ok ... thought I was going blind, as I could never find Ottawa contacts .. :? :?

Do you have to join the Team for a Charity Destination ... or, do you have a Program where one could buy a set of the Team Scwhag and setup a separate Online Ongoing Donation Page, whilst wearing the schwag all over ??

You can do it either place-- in the pull-down menus there were the options for Canadian provinces and postal codes...

But I don't know if you can qualify/participate in the US races if you are a Canadian TnT. The list is different on both sites.

Oh- now I see that.

I think maybe you can participate in the other events but you can't fundraise to the level to get your airfare paid to some of the other places.

Team in Training should get together something in Alberta so that we can participate in IMC like the guys from the US. So frustrating. I've been giving that feedback for years now.
