Re: Canadian runs sub-5 beer mile
That's awesome. I love how he also combines physics, chemistry, and biology into his research and planning.

sweet.
i was curious about him. here's a bit more: "Nielsen was a two-time NCAA Division III champion in the 5,000-meter run. He went on to finish his education at Stanford and ran for the Nike farm team. In 2007, he won the Eugene Marathon and qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials. He would finish 50th in New York."

I can't drink 4 drinks that fast, let alone run four times around a track, too! Good for him.

Where are all the other beer-milers to cheer him on? Is this the loneliness of the middle-distance beer chugger?

There must be a hash house harrier kennel in the vicinity that would have loved to cheer him on.

Will America stand by idly as Canadians dominate this rising sport? Did the Founding Fathers intend for us to just yield while our neighbors to the north displayed their superiority?
Yes!
