I ran 3kms here in Bauang La Union around the town square. I hope I don't piss of any of my running friends
. But this was probably the first day, that I seen some serious runners here in Bauang. I think I can tell the difference over here between them. The runners tend to wear short running shorts like I do, while the joggers tend to wear basketball shorts while running. But this is only my opinion. On Thursday (09 April) San Fernando La Union has a race with cash prizes for top 3 female and male overall. 1st place is 6000pp (Philippine Peso) =$169.04 cdn, 2nd place 4000pp =$112.68cdn and 3rd place 2000pp =$56.34cdn. This is a pretty good payout for your average Filipino. I think this was for the 3km, 5km, and 10km events. I am going to run the 5km event. I will try to find some more info in the next few days.
