more member stories

Postby ultraslacker » Mon Aug 01, 2005 11:02 am

inspired by Jacob's "solo" and all of your enthusiasm, I think it would be fun to have a section (on the site, not on the forum) for member stories... it can be the story of your first race, your first marathon, a particularly memorable race/run, an inspirational person in your life, a time when you pushed through adversity, etc. So if you'd like to share something like that, submit it here and/or send it on to me. :)

Will this be a thead or a sidebar with clickable links?

It will be part of the main site, not the forum.

Sorry Holly. You want to profile me, you're going to have to pay for the rights, just like GQ.

However, I would be willing to give up baby pictures of QuickChick for a song!

There's plenty of inspirational stories in the Member's Profile section. I don't think anyone would mind the least if you used them as they are public now anyways. Just have to find a picture of your "victim" of the month :D

Unfortunately, my stories just make people laugh or shake their heads  Gotta love these smilies :D

laughter and headshaking can be good things! :)

This is distinct from the member profiles... I want to hear stories of specific runs... or a journey to a first marathon... or whatever. The people's profiles will go in the "featured member" section instead. Does that make sense? So if you have funny stories then go ahead and tell them. :)

Hmm.... unfortunately, I do not have the literary skills like Jacob does. Actually, very poor in comparison. I post all my little "escapades" in the sporting world to my webpages :)
Would want to talk about CX all the times
