March 09 totals!

Postby CinC » Tue Mar 31, 2009 9:43 am

It's the last day of March.....post them if you've got them tallied!

Mar 2-8: 9hrs 35min
Mar 9-15: 13hrs 20min
Mar 16-22: 11hrs 20min
Mar 23-29: 12hrs, 35min

mix of spin, run, swim, strength, core, stretch

(my weeks run Mon-Sun, so Mar 30 and 31 will fall into Apr totals - and April will have some ride time OUTSIDE!)
Race Hard. Race Happy.

152.5km in 12 runs
(up from 98km in Feb! :) )
1 soccer game (missed 3 'cuz of my back sprain)
a few strength sessions.
Several physio sessions, and lots of physio exercises. :)

Things are about to get more interesting... real training, plus ultimate season starts this week, and still a couple of weeks of soccer left.

Ran all 31 days (33 runs)

Total: 434km

Some aches and pains but I have a couple of weeks to get them sorted out before Boston.

Finished up with 21 runs this month for a total of 294.5K in just over 28 hours of running ...

Though I am focusing on the 1/2 marathon distance, I still like to keep up my running volume as if I am training for a full marathon, just in case the opportunity arises :shifty::shifty:

Happy with my weekly base and volume, mainly at lsd training pace and after my 5K and 30K ATB races, it appears that I will need to start adding tempo and race ce training runs now .... Looking forward to coming out to Thursday evenings speed workouts ... hopefully, I can keep up with those hard core marathoners out there ...:pray::pray:
