Are you talking about Moncton New Brunswick...and if so...what's happening?
And...are you going...if so...you know it's just a hop and a skip to Kingston, Ontario :D :D

These are the fastest juniors in the world.

I'd love to be able to go... but Moncton is pretty far. :)

2 of my 3 children are there today watching. My youngest had a long jump lesson with the wold record holder yesterday and should have her picture in the paper with him today. We are going as a family on Saturday. Many of the athletes are staying in my town so we are having fun seeing all the different uniforms go by and figuring out which country people are from. Fun times!

Isn't Mouse there?

CBC has been covering it, they had an interview this morning with the Canadian that finished 4th in the 10,000m.

Mohammed AHMED (CAN) 29:11.75

That was a very tough race. I got fourth and I got lapped. It just shows that they are very fit and very strong athletes and I still have a long way to go to be at the top of the world. I lead the second pack for a very, very long time and I was very tired but I had to give everything I had

It was a great crowd and my name was being yelled out all over the place and that really encouraged me and made my mind forget about the pain that I was going through. I’m happy with it.

It might as well be happening in Australia- Moncton isn't really MY backyard. ;)

Yep I'm pretty sure Mouse is there right now.

According to mapquest, Moncton is only 6000km by car from Vancouver. It predicts a 60 hour drive.

We spent yesterday afternoon there. It was just about the hottest day possible for these parts. But, we had a great time! The women's 4x400 semi was a definite highlight! So exciting! We also saw women's pole vault, women's hammer, men's 5000m final, men's 4x100 final, women's 4x100 , women's hurdle (can't remember what distance), men's triple jump qualifying and a few more races (that I can't specifically recall right now). A great day!

These kids are world class and the future of athletics!
Moncton is a long way from me too, as is Delhi, as is London 2012, but I know I'll be taking an interest.

Mouse, any particular event that you enjoyed?

The only tape I was able to see was the women's 3,000m. and 100m.
A coaching mate was there with his runner and I'm hoping he will bring home more footage.

Glad you enjoyed the games Babysteps!!!

Great pics. It was my umpire team that is in the last relay photo, I'm just past the exchange zone. Could you Pm me how to do the photo's and I'll post some of mine.
Sorry we missed each other.
