Re: Kenyans looking for hosts for Vancouver Marathon
Found a place for them! On a related note, if you're at a race or race expo, and you see any of the African elites hanging around, go say hi. I've met a bunch of Kenyan guys, and they are always super happy to chat and make a friend. I think our Canadian nature is to leave people alone and let them ...

Kenyans looking for hosts for Vancouver Marathon
Hey Everyone! I haven't been on here in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. I got a message this morning from my friend GIlbert Kiptoo (Kenyan marathoner living in Toronto). I met him a few years ago at the PEC Marathon when he showed up at the race without a place to stay, and came home with me. ...

Looking for Pace Bunnies for PEC
Hey Maniacs! It's been a while since I've spent much time on RM- I hope you're all well! It's that time of year again when I start trying to nail down a few more pace bunnies for the PEC Marathon, which is on Oct 4. There's only 1 spot left on the bunny team for the 1/2, but I've got lots of room fo...

I'm camping with my family at Lac Phillipe in August- any suggestions on good trails right from the campground? I prefer nasty & technical over smooth trails.

I wear my trail shoes. A pr of gaiters comes in really handy as you tend to kick a lot of snow up and it's pretty easy to fill your shoes.

Beautiful morning here. It was -8 and snowing, with about 10cm of new snow on the ground, so the dog and I headed for our favourite trails.

Slick one for me too- had a good wipe out this morning. I was on my regular morning trails, and my dog stopped at a creek for a drink. I hit the brakes on the little footbridge over the creek (not thinking that it would be super slippery as it was covered in frost) and ended up flat on my back.

Re: Missing Running Monday
I've been taking it pretty easy for the last 6 or so weeks, but I think this is my week to start the comeback.
10km this morning at a brisk pace- headed down to Presqu'ile with Percy, for some off leash time on the frozen beach and trails.

Re: Eastern Ontario Dion Snowshoe race 2014
I'm planning on being at the Ignite the Night race- looks really neat! I'm helping to organize the one in Brighton. Last year was supposed to be the first year for it, but we get so much snow the night before we had to cancel it since the road into the park was impassable.......... Plan to run it a...

Re: Routes in Lugano Switzerland?
When are you leaving? I know that Dylan Wykes trained in Switzerland just before the 2012 Olympics...I could ask him if he knows anything about Lugano...I don't know where he went to train. Course....he's buried in a diaper pail these days so might take a few days before I hear back from him  ...
