Re: Olympic runners blow victory in hilarious marathon finis
Meh. One might even argue that the winner was unsportsmanlike for passing them at the end.

Exactly. The timing of the races doesn't always work and I'm more fond of some courses than others.

Re: Article: Running Is The Worst Way To Get Fit
Is there a kind of strength training that's enjoyable?! Cuz I'd be willing to try it if there is. :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Alot of people do like cross-fit. I have some friends who like crossfit. But I also have one who nearly died from it (over-work the muscles hard enough and they go...

I like to crap on crossfit as much as the next person, but my comment above about the right exercise being the one you actually do applies to crossfit as well. I know plenty of people who have gone from sedentary goo to absolutely cut with crossfit. Its the height of arrogance to tell someone who's ...

Nice race. Nice recovery after two misses.

Recreational use vs. intentional performance-enhancing use isn't relevant- cocaine is a powerful stimulant and would definitely be performance-enhancing if used that way. Which means the ban is valid and athletes should avoid "accidental" exposure. Which I still don't believe anyway. http...

I just don't care about cocaine (or weed) in athletes. IMO the WADA shouldn't be in the business of policing recreational drugs. Just because they're easy to test for and it gets headlines for WADA as they catch "cheaters".

The contest organizers already have all my personal information. They know where I live, where I work, where I bike, where I swim. They know which yards my dog poops in and which garbage cans I throw it in.

Even that first highlighted part contradicts itself. US residents 18 or older (or age of majority in their country of residence). Strava needs a better commercial lawyer. Somewhere else on the website I thought there was a reference to eligibility being limited to races in the US but not to US resid...

I feel your pain. The Gel DS Trainer has also gotten really tight over the toe box. I hate my current pair.
I tried a pair of the new Asics DynaFlyte and I love them. They're my current "A" shoe.

I guess its technically correct, which is the best kind of correct. But his time to win the Paralympic gold would not have gotten him out of any of the heats or the semifinals. The only way this works is if you compare it to the finals.

I'm not clear on the point she's trying to make. Don't publish safety tips for runners? I think her point was that publishing safety tips for runners unfairly puts the onus of staying safe on the runners and is a form of victim blaming. That we should instead demand that harassment (and worse) stop...

Nice bike.
Banff Fondo is in one month, not 13 months. You're a fit guy, its well within your capability to do it this year.

I seem to remember back in the Armstrong/Ulrich days that neither one attacked when the other had a crash on a climb. But I guess that kind of honour went out the window and a new precedent was set when Contador took advantage of Schleck a few years back. I read was that in this case the course was...
