Canada Day Monday? What?

Postby babysteps » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:04 am

I'm going to take my bike out for the first time this season. I know, I know. Don't judge. I hope I survive.

Ran some hills this morning. Headed to the bigger of the hills on my hill run and ran it up and down five times. 1K warm up, 3K hills, 1 K cool down. Almost 9AM and I've done my run, washed my hair, paid my bills, and got laundry on the line to dry. NOt sure I remember how to have a day off

Just in from a walk with C-Moss...wow..it's hot out there.
Giving myself a rest day instead of tomorrow because I'm giving the HR talk at a RR clinic tomorrow evening and will do the workout with them.

Doing stuff around the house...and will take C-Moss down to the Lake for a swim later.

Hung over from the Roots' show last night but headed out anyway for a scheduled 75 minute run - should be around 14k.

Legs are pretty tired from yesterday's race... and yet there is mountain biking tonight. :) (if we don't get canceled due to rain... in which case we'd probably just go to the pub anyway!)

25km LSD done. A tad hot, but there was a lot of people running, walking and biking on the canal path.

Second 4 hour JFK run/walk outing in two days. Much more humid today but I did get out earlier so that helped. Then I went to the gym for a couple hours this afternoon. It was humid inside as well!!!

5 km at the cottage - for some reason, the "back" was "shorter" than the out, so I did a little lap of the cabin to round out my 5 km. DH said he thought a bear might be chasing me...but he didn't come out to check!

Another early dawn run = 19.5k. Sunday was a rest day. Have a great week, everyone!
During any successful session, one might and should have a moment of truth, "should I continue or just walk home?". If you don't break down, the same thing might happen a few hundred steps later, but you already dealt with that issue. This usually happens in the second half, anyways. The satisfaction one derives later, when at home, is extremely gratifying, and is a build up like no other to further efforts.
