Wonderful Wednesday because I've done a very little bit of running this week! Yesterday I warmed up by walking on the TM and spending some time on the elliptical, and then I ran one mile (one whole mile!) on the TM. No pain during or (more importantly) after. Today I walked 2 km on the indoor track, then ran 2 km, then walked 1 more km and ran 1 more km. (My treatment provider said no more than 5 km running). It appears that the 3 km was a bit too much, because despite stretching and icing afterwards, my foot was/is a little bit uncomfortable. But yesterday gave me real hope that there is pain-free running at the end of this tunnel.

I also notice that the pain/stiffness in my foot when I first get up in the morning is almost gone. Wearing that Strasbourg Sock has really helped. And that's a wonderful feeling too.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday!
Jacqueline

8.5 km on the treadmill this morning for Thursday's treadmill workout a day early. The outside of my foot has been tender this week in a strange spot - I'm not sure if I bruised it a bit while snowshoeing for the first time this season on Sunday, or if it's something else. :?

just 5k with the puppy, very slow and crappy (walked parts of it). Legs feel like crap, maybe from yesterday's hike. Even though that was only 1 hour, it was straight up and straight back down so it was a bit tough on my calves!

Joined up with Running Room crew for a jingle bell - Christmas light viewing run. The rain let up for us which was nice. I was a little disappointed, it seems like there weren't as many decorated houses as I remember from the last time I did this run. It was fun, nice spread of sweets back at the store.

Not-so-wonderful Wednesday for me: had a crappy 4-mile run on the TM.
