well technically we're going by "food mistakes" (Dave's wording) for the Challenge. A mistake for one person may not be for another, which is why it's left up to our own judgment (and conscience!).

For me, mistakes include the bad foods that I normally crave:
mc donalds
slurpees
chocolate
potato chips
pop

I had some pie on the weekend but don't consider that a "mistake", as it was for celebration and isn't one of my "weak" foods.

All that to say that this week is going to be TOUGH because I'm working evenings and whenever I'm on evenings I want to eat chocolate and drink coke. I don't know why, maybe boredom. Last night I almost lost my resolve, especially when I found a loonie in my desk and started thinking, "oh, there's a vending machine in the hall...". I was strong, though. I don't know if I will be tonight. lol

Not to sound totally blonde, but what are you guys talking about? Is there a challenge to give up junk food? For me, that is about as likely as my giving up oxygen, but I am curious.

"RunningManiaMania". There's a sticky thread at the top of this board that will explain. :)

Check out the sticky at the top of the Open Board. It's called RunningManiaMania and is a fun little challenge we made for ourselves to reward running achievements and enthusiasm and to provide some friendly motivation. It only just started and everybody is welcome, so check it out!

If you're talking about Mr Third Place Overall, I'm here to say he's gotta watch his back. The challenge rewards a lot more than just race performance. He may very well win it anyway, but he's going to have to stay as healthy, consistent, and enthusiastic as he is now. If he lets down his guard somebody's going to swoop in and take his title!

nope, had a (only one) Timmy's donut as someone at work had left large quanties of them in the coffee room at work. Evil bugger!

I just can't resist the odd temptation, why else would I be active but to eat the "good" stuff!

What is the point of running if you can't eat any junk....

Actually, I am pretty off junk, at least most of the time.

BTW, has someone mentionned "Mouse Track Ice Cream". I love the chocolate one. I have it about 2-3 times a year.

I do not like the pizza here. The only one that I eat is the "Quattro Stagione" that you find in Italy or often in Europe (Bella Italia chain in U.K. is not bad).
Faster, stronger, meaner....Arrgh, matey!
