Tailwind Thursday

Postby La » Thu May 11, 2017 7:12 am

Today was my first bike to work in more than 2 weeks. Some of that was because of weather, but some was due to back pain. My back is still sore, but it's not keeping me from my daily activities.

The tail wind help me break 17 minutes for my commute. I got two silly red lights that slowed me down. Silly as in they are at minor cross streets that only activate when someone pushes the walk button or a car trips the sensor. And when I get some of those red lights, it causes me to miss the light at the next major intersection.

I had a nice fresh breeze and bright sun for my run today near Minneapolis, MN. It was a beautiful run on a park path, all to myself, with many birds singing all the way. The crabapple, wild cherry, lilacs, and trees I cannot name are all in bloom and the air is full of their perfume. I ran about 45 minutes, then walked the kilometer back to my sister's house.

Decided to run on the treadmill today at the Y. I tried to push the pace a little, but it was pretty hot at the gym even with the air conditioning on. Only ran 5km.
