Muggy Saturday

Where is everyone?

Just in from a horribly muggy long run. Had planned for 14K and only managed 9K. :(

A super hot 16 mile run for me out there....and just when the running gods didn't think it was hot enough the way it was, they decided to throw in the hot flashes too...sucks to get older...first time I've felt them when I was running and it was horrible!

It was really brutal out there. I had to give up somewhere in Rosedale and as I tried to figure out the quickest way home, I actually felt lost. It's Toronto, I'm never lost!

I don't want to skip my long run tomorrow, but I may have to. I thought about getting up at 4am but the temperature isn't really supposed to fall that much overnight. Maybe if the rain starts ...

I know this is almost sacrilegious to say, but could you do it indoors on the TM? :?

Had a nice 10K / 45:15 tempo run this morning @6:30am, just after watching the finale of the women's triathlon .... it was nice and balmy at 19C at the time, already out there ... 8)

sure but wouldn't two hours on the treadmill be better than skipping it altogether?

Hot and muggy yesterday and today both. I did leave the office early yesterday afternoon, and ran 7 miles on the TM, and it felt hot and muggy even inside with the AC. My original plan was to do my weekend long run tonight, but since the forecast for tomorrow night looks better (somewhat cooler temps, and rain supposed to end by the afternoon), that's the new plan. DH and I spent this afternoon at the AGO with a friend, then had dinner on a patio. Temps were great for sitting outside in the shade by then, but just walking home from the subway I was feeling the heat/humidity. Ugh.

We just had a little rain so maybe that break we're looking for is just arriving.

16km done yesterday and yes, it was hot and muggy - and this was all before 830am. No gumption in that run at all!
